If your orthopedic surgeon has recommended a partial knee replacement for you, it means that only one side of your knee joint is damaged.

In healthy knees, cartilage covers the ends of the bones that make up your knee joint.

Cartilage cushions the bones and allows your knee joint to move smoothly and without pain.

When cartilage is damaged or diseased, it becomes irregular and wears away, making your knee joint stiff and painful to move.

The Good News

There’s no need for you to endure the knee pain and stiffness you’re feeling today . . .
no need for walking, standing and climbing stairs to be so difficult.

The good news is that there are treatments available that can help. Partial knee replacements have been developed as an alternative to total knee replacements in patients whose arthritis is localized to just part of the knee.

Additional advancements in pain control and rehabilitation have allowed partial knee re-placements to be done as outpatient procedures.

Benefits of Partial Knee Replacement Surgery
  • A more normally functioning knee joint
  • Effective pain control
  • A smaller surgical incision
  • Shorter recovery time
  • Earlier physical rehabilitation
  • Faster return to your everyday activities
