Protocols

APT&SM continues to use the most up to date treatment methods and protocols.  Brigham and Women’s Hospital has a dedicated full time staff that is continually researching evidence based medicine and updating physical therapy protocols. We have contacted BWH and received permission to link their protocols page to our home page.  The protocols have been reviewed by our staff and have found to be consistent with the current research base and have minimum variation from our current protocols.  Physicians may prefer variations in protocol due to variation in surgical technique and individual patient presentation.  The protocols available through Advanced Physical Therapy should therefore be used as a guideline.  Please contact your physicians office to assure correct use of the provided information.
