Discover the Recovery Inn at OSI

Recovery is an important process after a surgical treatment. In some instances, the process can take place in phases. During a joint replacement recovery, patients need adequate rest, mild physical movements, and excellent food to speed up the buildup of cells in the treated area. This sometimes may not take place well at home because even at that time, the patient is supposed to be under the watch of a qualified doctor.

The Recovery Inn

The Recovery Inn at OSI is a unique recovery facility that caters for patients who have undergone partial surgical process or complete joint replacement. Patients looking for a reliable orthopedic specialist in the Fox Valley can book a date with the facility.

The ambiance of the utility resembles that of a 5-star hotel complete with everything that a recovering patient might need. The facility was designed with the comfort and privacy of the patient in mind. Above all, it offers a personalized care for each patient to ultimate healing. The following are some of the components of the facility:

The Healing Suites

In the state-of-the-art facility, patients can find twelve hotel-inspired healing suites with comfortable beds and powered lift chairs. Also available are soft lighting, high windows that run from the floor to the ceiling and private baths with walk-in showers. The patients’ entertainment is well looked-after. The rooms are equipped with TVs with Netflix, WIFi, as well as spacious closets, dresser drawers and in-room mini coolers. Additionally, all rooms are just steps away from the central nursing station and from the physical/occupational therapy gym.

Onsite Medical Director and Therapy

A successful transition from the facility to the patient’s home depends on how fast the condition of the patient restores in terms of strength and mobility. The facility has a medical director onsite, a physician who works in conjunction with the patient’s surgeon to monitor the condition of the patient during the recovery period.

Onsite physical and occupational therapy will begin soon after your procedure. You will rehab with the therapists from Advanced Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine, an award-winning team that is consistently ranked in the top 3% in the nation for patient outcomes.

Recovery times can vary according to the individual patient and the type of surgery administered. Patients are advised to follow the advice they get from an orthopedic specialist for ultimate healing. The Recovery Inn at OSI is a facility like no other. With the quality of care they provide, their expert orthopedists onsite, and the excellent meals that punctuate everything, it surely stands out.

And talk to anyone who has stayed at the Recovery Inn. You’ll love what you hear.

The Recovery Inn located on the campus of the Orthopedic & Sports Institute in Appleton (OSI), was the first orthopedics-only recovery facility in the nation attached to a surgery center. At OSI, you can have your surgery and rehab without leaving the building.
