The Orthopedic & Sports Institute is currently seeking candidates for the position of Materials Coordinator for the Ambulatory Surgery Center. This is a full-time position. We perform surgeries Monday -Friday. No weekends or holidays.
The Materials Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and assessing the daily inventory management and the control of the operating room supplies. The Materials Coordinator works closely with vendors to ensure that implants, trays and equipment are available when needed in surgery. Adhering to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and safety in the operating room environment. The Materials Coordinator uses analytic tools to accurately capture spend, and utilize data (Envi, EMR and Excel) in support of inventory control and management.
Qualifications:
- Two (2) years of related experience of which one (1) year must have been in Materials Management or Clinical Area.
- ERP system, such as Envi, experience preferred.
- Warehouse organization and operational experience desired.
- Understanding of operating room products and their uses preferred.
- Knowledge of PO pricing and GL interaction.
- Computer literacy to include MS Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel).
- Ability to analyze and interpret data.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and tasks.
- Ability to deal with stressful situations.
- CPR Certification.
