Padraic Obma, M.D.

“There’s no question we shouldn’t answer because if it’s asked, it’s important.”

Dr. Obma joined the Orthopedic Clinic of Appleton in 2016 and treats patients in De Pere and Appleton. An orthopedic surgeon certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Obma specializes in robot assisted total and partial joint replacement as well as arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, and ankle. Fellowship-trained in sports medicine, he has filed several patents based on medical innovations he devised, including the invention of a new shoulder operation to repair torn rotator cuff tendons.

Dr. Springer, a graduate of Oshkosh North High School and Dartmouth College, joined Valley Orthopedic Clinic in 1988.

A board-certified orthopedic surgeon and an Active Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Dr. Springer is also a member of the Wisconsin Medical Society as well as a clinical instructor for the Fox Valley Family Medicine Residency Program. He holds a subspecialty certificate in orthopaedic sports medicine granted by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Dr. Springer participates in the Lawrence University and Appleton Area School District Athletic Programs as well as OSI's Medical Mentoring Program.

Dr. Schaufelberger, a Milwaukee area native, treats patients in Appleton and Waupaca. An orthopedic surgeon certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, he has completed fellowship specialty training in shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand surgery. Dr. Schaufelberger has been practicing in the Fox Valley since 2007, and joined the Orthopedic Clinic of Appleton in 2012.

He is an Active Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, a member of the Orthopedic & Sport Institute’s Medical Mentoring Program, and an Associate Clinical Professor for the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Jay Minorik, M.D.

Dr. Minorik, who joined Valley Orthopedic Clinic in 2002, treats patients in Appleton and Shawano.

A board-certified orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Minorik has a subspecialty in sports medicine and earned his sports medicine fellowship at the American Sports Medicine Institute. He an Active Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of the Wisconsin Medical Society and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.

Todd Derksen, D.P.M.

Certified by the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery, Dr. Derksen joined the Orthopedic & Sports Institute in 2008 and is a member of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons. The Journal of Foot & Ankle Surgery published Dr. Derksen's most recent professional article on total ankle replacement in the September/October 2017 Journal of Foot & Ankle Surgery.

He has earned numerous awards in his field: the Michael L. Stone, D.P.M., Award for Outstanding Professional Conduct, the Proficiency in Biomechanics and Orthopedic Diseases Award, and the Timothy Holbrook Memorial Award of Excellence in Medicine and Orthopedics. 

Dr. Derksen's medical outreach has included a clinical and surgical mission to Northern New Mexico Indian Health Services in Shiprock, New Mexico as well as trips to Africa on surgical missions for Lower Extremity Reconstructions with Physicians for Peace.

Dr. Eggert participates in the Lawrence University and Ripon College Athletic Programs and is a clinical instructor for the Fox Valley Family Medicine Residency Center. He founded the Medical Mentoring Program offered in partnership with area high schools.

Timothy Mologne, M.D.

Dr. Mologne joined the Orthopedic Clinic of Appleton in 2019 and treats patients in Oshkosh and Appleton. He is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with subspecialty fellowship training in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery. Dr. Mologne began his medical career in the United States Navy. During his twenty-year naval career, he served as an orthopedic surgeon in Okinawa, Japan, and taught sports medicine and arthroscopy as part of the largest orthopedic surgery residency program in the military.

Since moving to Appleton in 2004, Dr. Mologne has established himself as a regional expert in shoulder and knee surgery. He has a strong interest in cartilage restoration and is proficient in state-of-the-art techniques of cartilage and meniscus transplantation.

Carissa Meyer, a Wisconsin Rapids native, joined Orthopedic Clinic of Appleton with over four years of orthopedic and sports medicine experience. As an Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber (APNP), she assists Dr. Obma in surgery and provides preoperative and postoperative care. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and has an additional board certification in pain management nursing (RN-BC). In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Jared McLister is an Ohio native who lived in Illinois, South Dakota, Minnesota, and North Dakota before starting his career in Alexandria, MN, where he practiced for 8 years prior to joining the Orthopedic Clinic of Appleton in 2018 to be closer to his wife's family. 

As a Physician Assistant, Mr. McLister treats patients with general orthopedic concerns, assists in surgery with Dr. Lohrbach, and provides pre-operative and post-operative care for surgical patients. He is certified by the NCCPA and is a member of the Physician Assistants in Orthopedic Surgery.  

In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, coaching his kids’ sports, camping, boating, golfing, and spending time outdoors.
